Our History
Peter Bowen Homes was built on passion, perseverance and a formidable husband and wife partnership!
Before becoming the trusted local home builders they are today, our founders Peter and Jayne Bowen were building very different careers – Jayne as a bookkeeper and Peter as a boilermaker. However, as the son of a builder, Peter had building in his blood and he couldn’t resist the call of the family trade. Together he and Jayne began laying the foundation for what would become Peter Bowen Homes.
For three years, Peter balanced days on the job as a carpenter with nights dedicated to earning his building licence. It was a challenging period as a young family with big plans and no credit history, but Peter and Jayne were steadfast in their goal: to build high-quality, affordable family homes for every budget.
Decades later, PBH remains a family business to its core, and the values of hard work, dedication and a personal touch continue to drive us today.
